Partnerships and Business Development Representative

Start Date: As soon as possible  
Location: Remote 


Who We Are

We are on a mission to digitally transform fund management and reporting for fundraising organizations helping them more effectively measure, maximize, and communicate their impact. 


FundMiner, a B2B SaaS startup in the advancement software space, provides personalized fund management insights and automates complex and traditionally manual processes for fundraising organizations like universities, foundations, and nonprofits. 


We are looking for an experienced Partnerships and Business Development Representative who can successfully translate our vision into a compelling opportunity for potential customers.

You thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment, have excellent proactive communication skills, and are passionate about building and maintaining strong relationships.

How You’ll Spend Your Time: 

  • You will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of FundMiner. You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships and business opportunities that align with our goals. 
  • With tenacity and resilience, you explore creative avenues to find and expand our partner and customer base.
  • Negotiating and closing deals. You’ll cultivate and manage a partner pipeline and own all partner relationships. 
  • You diligently keep notes on and track your interactions in our CRM (HubSpot) so that you can easily recall and pick up where the conversation left off. You always follow up and have a next step planned. 
  • You’ll deliver partner and customer value by arranging webinars, podcasts, article content, group discussions, roundtables, and you’ll engage with professional associations. You expand your own network to authentically build relationships with our potential partner base.
  • Delivering persuasive presentations, you showcase the unique value proposition of working with our company.
  • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and customer success.
  • You are self-driven to stay up to date with industry trends and developments and actively participate in conferences, workshops, and networking events to expand your knowledge and professional network.


How You’ll Measure Success: 

  • Increasing the number of partnerships established and maintained.
  • Increasing revenue from partnerships.
  • Enhancing partner satisfaction and time to value.


What You'll Need to Be Successful: 

  • You easily navigate the Microsoft Suite, Hubspot, and Asana to track and maintain relationships and projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish lasting relationships.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a natural ability to influence and persuade others. You are creative and solutions-oriented.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in managing relationships and activities.
  • Understanding of the nonprofit technology ecosystem to identify trends, opportunities, and potential challenges. 
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment while also being comfortable working independently. 
  • Preference for a former fundraising industry professional or background in advancement or education tech, government tech, or related field.

The salary for this role is: $65,000-$80,000 with a possible performance bonus.
